State of Ford County Looks Good
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The state of the county address was delivered yesterday in Ford County by both commissioners Chris Boys and Shawn Tasset. Tasset believes the county is standing on solid ground, but also knows the legislature has forced their hand to make some tough budget decisions.
Tasset calls this an issue of fairness after the legislative session phased out a mortgage registration fee.
Ford County officials believe repealing the fee will cost them 250-thousand dollars.
