Scott County Schools Hire Their New Superintendent

Scott City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Details have been finalized and officials at USD 466 say they have selected Jaime Rumford a man who has spent the last eight years as a principal in Cheney, KS and prior to that nine years as a teacher in Spearville to be the new superintendent in Scott City.  Rumford replaces Bill Wilson who resigned after leading the school system the last three years.  The district recently made up a 750-thousand dollar budget deficit and teachers had to take a two percent pay cut.
