Kansas Officials Not Worried Money Flow to Roads Will Dry Up

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) There is a lot of talk about finding additional ways of funding the nation’s roads.  The national gas tax has remained the same over the last twenty years, meanwhile drivers are getting more miles per gallon and some roads are beginning to show wear and tear.  Despite all the talk, State Transportation Secretary Mike King does not expect Congress to make any changes for now.

Typically Kansas roads are rated among the nation’s best because of how much money the legislature pours in.
