Bobby G. Stalter


photoBobby G. Stalter, age 67, died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  He was born on November 8, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the son of Fred and Lorene Pamplin Stalter.  A lifetime resident of Garden City he had been a mechanic for KN Energy in Garden City.

He was a member of the Church of the Brethren of Garden City, Kansas, the Patriot Guard, the American Legion and was a lifetime member of the VFW and of the Harley Owners Group.

On July 25, 1968 he married Sherry Lynn Hoyt in Garden City, Kansas.  She died June 1, 2011 in Garden City, Kansas.

Survivors include:

  • One Daughter, Bobbie L. (& Todd) Murphy of Hays, Kansas;
  • One Sister, Susan Y. (& Tom) Barb of Garden City, Kansas;
  • Mother-In-Law, Louise Hoyt of Garden City, Kansas;
  • Brother-In-Law, Jim (& Patty) Hoyt of San Ramon, California; 
  • Four Grandchildren; and Several Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Christine Y. Stalter.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Church Of The Brethren in Garden City, Kansas.

Interment will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.

There will be no public calling times.

Memorials may be given to the Honor Flight Program in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
