Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Policom ranked Dodge City’s economy 21st nationally out of 536 micropolitan communities with sizes from 10-to-50 thousand. Thursday the chamber luncheon hosted the man behind the survey.

Fruth says despite the positive numbers there is one area of concern.
One aspect that is helping Dodge City has been expanding its manufacturing base which has kept wages high. Fruth believes high wages is one of the leading indicators of a sound economy.
