Bill J. Phillips, 90, died: Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City. He was born July 21, 1924 at Woodward, Oklahoma to parents Jewell W. & Katherine Lura (Allison) Phillips. he married to Marilyn Elizabeth Touslee Pabst on February 4, 1984 at Las Vegas. She died on February 11, 2013
Bill graduated from Chickasha, Oklahoma High School. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. After his discharge he went to Oklahoma University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Finance. He moved to Ponca City and worked for Continental Oil Company for 4 years. He then moved to Las Vegas where he stayed in the oil business and gambled every day. He moved to Garden City and was Co-Owner of Presto-Phillips Convenience Stores and owned Pay Day Loans. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, 1 Brother- Ramon J. Phillips & 1 Sister- Betty Lou Shinn.
