Laura J. Goodnight, 81, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City. She was born September 2, 1933 at Kansas City, Missouri to parents William & Gertrude (Powers) Thornbrugh. She married Bill A. Goodnight on June 17, 1966 at Garden City. He died on September 30, 1996. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Holcomb.

Laura grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. After moving to Finney County she was a cook at St Mary School and worked in the Deli at Dillon’s West. She enjoyed playing bingo, dominos, cards, cross stitching & especially her family activities. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 1 Daughter- Beth Gaylord, 1 Brother- Bill Thornbrugh & 1 Sister- Sharon Gillispie.
