Moran: Leads Fight Against Overbearing EPA, Fish and Wildlife Regulations

Washington D.C. (westernkansasnews.com) A number of battles are potentially brewing between President Obama and the Republican controlled Congress. One of them has to do with the Environmental Protection Agency oversight over rights of water and how it could ultimately effect their budget. Senator Jerry Moran takes us into the process.

Moran knows now is the time for the Senate to flex their muscle.

Moran says the new Senate will allow amendments to bills from both sides unlike in past years.  Senator Moran is also leading the effort in Washington to de-list the Lesser Prairie Chicken as a threatened species. The designation by the US Fish and Wildlife Service is expect to have a huge adverse effect on the regions economy.

Critics contend there is a correlation between the falling numbers for the lesser prairie chicken and the region receiving less precipitation over the last several years.
