Bruce A. Long, 52, died February 14, 2015 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita . He was born on January 12, 1962 in Dexter, Missouri the son of Ben Harmon and Freda Darlene (Cox) Long. 

Bruce moved with his family to the Copeland area as a child. He attended Copeland and Garden City Schools. On May 30, 1980, he married Kelly Routh in Garden City. She survives. Bruce worked for Smith Sand Company and most recently for Brown Farms for the past 13 years. He enjoyed farming, fishing, four wheelers, and visiting with friends and family 

Bruce is also survived by three children, Brandon Long and wife Maggie of Alton; Lisa Long of Satanta; and Megan Long of Garden City; his mother, Freda Long of Bernie, Missouri; two brothers, Randy Long and wife Karan of Garden City and Scott Long of Wichita; two grandchildren, Kiara Long of Alton and Teagen Long of Satanta; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father. 

Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, Satanta on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Rod Klingsick presiding. Burial will follow at Dudley Township Cemetery, Satanta. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Sublette on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Bruce Long Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
