Buster hurler wins national honor

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-Garden City pitcher J.J. Benes was named the National Junior College Athletics Association pitcher of the week. The sophomore hurler won his first two games, striking out 15 batters, while allowing only three hits and not giving up a single earned run. 

The Busters improved to 10-2 overall with their sweep over Pratt on Wednesday. They conclude the four-game series with the Beavers, weather permitting, on Sunday. Catch both games on westernkansasnews.com.
