Concealed Carry Without A Permit: Police Ask Legislature to Think Twice
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Law enforcement have weighed in on several bills pending in the legislative session. One of them would allow some gunowners to qualify for conceal carry without getting a permit. Garden City Police Chief James Hawkins does not like the idea.
Hawkins believes law enforcement is comfortable with having people get the necessary training and background checks in order to get a concealed carry permit. Leap frogging this step could create problems.
