Congressman Huelskamp Confident Netanyahu’s Speech Was Spot On

Washington D.C. (westernkansasnews.com) He lives with the threat everyday and is willing to take on the danger for the survival of his country. Isreali Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke Tuesday to a joint session of Congress on how a deal the US is trying to broker will not stop Iran’s ambitions for nuclear weapons because it gives too much wiggle room.

Congressman Tim Huelskamp was in the chamber for Netanyahu’s speech and reiterated the Prime Minister’s warning.

Netanyahu wants to keep sanctions on Iran while negotiating a better deal with fewer concessions from US.  The question for Congressman Tim Huelskamp is if President Obama moves forward with his plan will Congress have enough votes to stop him.

Constitutionally the Senate must pass all treaties with a 2/3 vote. If the President bypasses the Senate will the Republicans have enough backbone to pull the brakes on the deal? So far neither side has indicated what they will do.
