Cresencio Sotelo-Herrera

Cresencio Sotelo-Herrera, 79, died May 28, 2015 at Trinity Manor in Dodge City. He was born on April 19, 1936 in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Nativadad and Gabina (Herrera) Sotelo. 

Cresencio moved to the United States over 40 years ago. On May 23, 1974 he married Celia Quinones in Dodge City. She survives. Cresencio worked for the City of Dodge at the landfill. He retired in 2013. Cresencio enjoyed fishing and dancing but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. 

He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady Of Guadalupe in Dodge City. 

Cresencio is survived by his wife, Celia Sotelo of Dodge City; one son Jose Sotelo of Dodge City; two brothers, Benito Sotelo and wife Cande of Dodge City and Jose Sotelo and wife Nata of Mexico; and three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister. 

Vigil Service will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 10:30 AM. Cremation will follow the Mass. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Monday, June 1, 2015 from noon to 5:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Cresencio Soltelo Family in care of the funeral home.
