Martha Ann “Marty” Kirk, age 64, of Ulysses, KS died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at her home in Ulysses, KS. She was born September 20, 1950 at Hutchinson, KS the daughter of Earl R. Jr. and Shirley Y. (Parks) Monroe
Marty grew up in Ulysses, KS, where she earned her GED and continued her education at Garden City Community College and graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She was retired but enjoyed substitute teaching for USD 214. She actively followed her grandsons school and sport activities.
Survivors include one daughter Jodi Kirk Flores and David Flores of Ulysses, KS. One Sister Michelle Bultman and husband Mark of Ulysses, KS. One grandson Joshua David Flores of Ulysses, KS. Sister-in-law Melanie Johnson and Nieces and nephews; Hattie Wiginton and husband Adam, Lundon, Maison, Aniston and Milani Wiginton; Mark Bultman, JR, Marc Johnson and Melissa Cribb.
Marty was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Michael Monroe.
Funeral service will be held Monday, June 1, 2015, 2:00p.m. at Shelton Memorial Christian Church, Ulysses, KS with Reverend Kelly Gindlesberger officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Garnand Funeral Home, Ulysses, KS. Memorial contributions may be given to the Martha Ann “Marty” Kirk memorial fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
