Pat Morgison, 87, died May 8, 2015 at Edwards County Hospital Life Care Unit in Kinsley. He was born on May 19, 1927 at Superior, Nebraska the son of Carl A. and Lulu Carrie (Thompson) Morgison. 

Pat was a graduate of Alton High School in Alton. He served in the US Navy during WWII and served on the USS Whitney. On August 21, 1950 he married Olive C. Owston at Clayton, New Mexico. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2015. He moved to Dodge City in 1950 and opened Dodge City Sand with his father and brothers. In 1970, Pat along with his brother Harold, opened Watersports Campground and RV Park. 

He was a member of Howard Gotschall Post #1714, V.F.W., Charles Earnest Scott Post# 47, American Legion, and the Kansas Association of RV Park and Campgrounds. 

Pat is survived by a daughter, Patty Brandenburg and husband Eldon of Dodge City; two sons, Mike Morgison of Garden City and Bill Morgison and wife Gloria of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jean Morgison; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold and Bill Morgison; and three sisters, Betty McDonald, Carlene Osborn, and Theda Tague. 

Funeral service will be held at the Dodge City Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 10:30 AM with Mr. Jeff Hiers and Rev. Michael Burns presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City with military rites by Howard Gotschall Post#1714, V.F.W. and KSARNG Military Honors. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from Noon to 8:00 PM with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to the Howard Gotschall Post #1714, V.F.W. in care of the funeral home.
