Hazel “Louise” Tribble

Hazel “Louise” Tribble, 86, of Liberal, passed away on June 9, 2015 at Liberal Springs in Liberal, KS.  

She was born on August 29, 1928 to John and Hazel (Beckworth) Clark in Breckenridge, TX.

Louise attended Pampa, TX schools and graduated from Pampa High School in 1946. On August 30, 1948 Louise married Gaston Tribble in Pampa, TX. After Louise and Gaston were married they moved to Lubbock, TX while Gaston completed college and she worked as an AT&T telephone operator. Once Gaston graduated from college, he and Louise lived in a variety of locations as a result of Gaston’s career demands, including Skellytown, TX, Amarillo, TX, Hugoton, KS, and Omaha, NE. In 1967, the family moved to Liberal, KS after living in Omaha, NE for 13 years, calling Liberal their home for nearly five decades. Louise was a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), Seward County Election Board, High Plains Public Radio, Liberal Memorial Library Board, and the First United Methodist Church of Liberal.

Louise was curious about the world, well-read and was a self-taught scholar in her own right.

Louise is survived by her loving Husband Gaston, Son Paul Tribble of Atlanta, GA; Daughter Shelley White of Winchester, KY; Two Grandsons Christopher White (Annie) of Miami, OK and Patrick White of Newalla, OK; Great-grandson Vance White of Miami, OK; Brother, Jimmie Clark (Sharon) of Pampa, TX. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and Brother Jack Clark (Jerry, still living).

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015, 10:00 am at the First Southern Baptist Church, 621 N. Western Avenue, Liberal, KS 67901 with Methodist Pastor David Randall, officiating.

Burial will take place at 3:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, TX.
