Neva Patterson, 85, died May 31, 2015 at Meade District Hospital in Meade. She was born on December 31, 1929 in Dodge City, the daughter of Curtis Aurther and Bessie Butler (McMichael) Rinehart. 

Neva graduated from Ford High School. On August, 10, 1947, she married Max K. Patterson. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2013. They moved to the farm at Copeland in 1950 where they raised their three children. Neva enjoyed shopping, reading, and family dinners. Most of all, she loved time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She was a member of the Copeland United Methodist Church, Copeland UMW, and served as a youth leader at the church. 

Neva is survived by one son, Wade Patterson and wife Glenda of Copeland; one daughter, Nikki Myers and husband Steve of Maize; daughter-in-law, Cindy Patterson of Copeland; six grandchildren, Jeremy Patterson and wife Carlotta of Copeland, Brooke Bultena and husband Mike of Sublette, Hanna Swanson and husband Erik of Kansas City, Missouri, Graham Patterson and wife Gina of Topeka, Dylan Myers and wife Taryn of Maize, and Clint Myers and wife Kristin of Stillwell; six great grandchildren, Katelynn Butler and husband Michael of DeBerry, Texas, Max Patterson II of Hays, Ellie Bultena of Sublette, Cohen Myers and Reegan Myers both of Maize, and Franklin Myers of Stillwell.She is preceded in death by her husband Max; her parents; one son, Jack; and one brother, Curtis Rinehart. 

Funeral service will be held at Copeland Methodist Church on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Copeland Cemetery. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Sublette on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from noon to 8:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Lone Tree Retirement Center or Copeland Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
