Rod Rohn, 58, died June 25, 2015 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. He was born on August 20, 1956 in Cheyenne Wells, CO the son of Eldon and Eleanor “Fawn” (Gfeller) Rohn. 

Rod graduated from Wallace County High School in 1974, Garden City Community College, and Kansas State University. He married Kelley Tarter on August 15, 1987 in Dodge City. Rod was an F.F.A., Vocational Agriculture and Metal Shop teacher at Bird City, Natoma, and LaCrosse High Schools. His hobbies included dirt track races, model cars, college football and basketball, and working outside. 

Survivors include his wife, Kelley Rohn of Dodge City; one daughter, Hollie Rohn of Topeka; one son, Trever Rohn of Dodge City; father, Eldon Rohn of Sharon Springs; one brother, Bryan Rohn and wife Kristi of Wamego; two sister-in-laws, Terri Hermes and husband Kent of Samammish, WA and Cheryl Dunst and husband Bob of Parker, CO; two nephews and five nieces. Rod was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor “Fawn” (Gfeller) Rohn. 

Memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Dodge City on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Patrick McGinnis presiding. Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place.
