Donald Louis Lobmeyer Sr
Donald Louis Lobmeyer Sr from Garden City KS died peacefully surrounded by his children on July 7, 2015 in Wichita KS at the age of 71.
Donald is survived by his children Donald Jr of Wichita, KS, Charles of Ft Worth, TX, James Miller of Shawnee, OK, Jonathon of Seward, NE, Jason of Surprise, AZ, and Jacqulyn of Holcolmb, KS. Also survived by his siblings Dorothy of Prescott, AZ, Marion of Garden City, KS, and Raymond of Sycamore IL. He is preceded in death by his son Justin, his parents Louis and Anna Lobmeyer, his brother David, his sisters Lucy Boyer, Edna Pellett, and Carolyn Davis He has 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Donald was born on Jan 15, 1944 in Garden City, KS to Louis and Anna Lobmeyer. He graduated High School from Holy Cross Abbey in Canon City, CO in 1962. He graduated from Washburn University in 1974. He was dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, Optimist Club, and Boy Scouts of America.
A Rosary is scheduled on Saturday July 11, 2015 at 11:00 am at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Garden City, KS with mass following at 11:30 am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Donald’s life. Internment at cemetery to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo, The American Red Cross or any charity of your choice.
