Zenida graduated from St. Mary of the Plains in Dodge City in 1951. Her and her husband lived in Garden City and then moved to Hugoton, Kansas in 1967, where she worked at Hugoton’s IGA Grocery Store and as a clerk at the City’s Water Department. They moved to Liberal in 1976 and she worked as the office clerk at the Liberal Water Department. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and quilting. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her son Manuel Bernal Hernandez, 1 brother-Joe Blea, 3 sisters- Carlotta Betancourt, Sue Amaro, and Delores Figueroa.
