Larry K. Grantham, 76, died Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita. 

He was born June 27, 1939 at Yale, Oklahoma, the son of George R. and Marjorie (Adair) Grantham. He moved to Dodge City from Enid, Oklahoma in the late 1950’s. He lived in Garden City during the 1960’s and returned to Dodge City after 8 years there. He worked construction for Southern Corporation. 

He was an avid musician, playing guitar, harmonica and singing and for many years in the 60’s, he had his band, Larry Grant and the Fabulous Flames, as well as doing his One Man Band. He collected stamps, antiques and pottery and enjoyed drawing and working in the yard. 

On December 17, 1960 he married Barbara Israel at Dodge City. 

Survivors include: his wife of 55 years, Barbara, Dodge City; his son, Kevin Grantham and wife Cindy, Brentwood, California; and 2 grandchildren, Holly Hofsinger Gauge, Tacoma, Washington and Beth Grantham, Brentwood, California. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bob Grantham. 

Services will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. 

The family suggests memorials to the Ford County Humane Society in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
