Town Mourns Passing of Batboy During On Field Accident
Liberal, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A tragic accident in Wichita this weekend during the Liberal BeeJays NBC World Series baseball game with San Diego. Nine year old bat boy Kaiser Carlile was struck in the head while a player was taking practice swings. Carlile later died from his injuries at the hospital. BeeJay’s team spokesperson Roy Allen still can not believe Kaiser is gone.
Some wanted to postpone the game, but Kaiser’s parents wanted the players to continue. Allen knows that is what Kaiser would have wanted.
Details on funeral arrangements are still being worked out.
