Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The annual State of the City address was given before civic leaders at Wednesday morning’s Chamber of Commerce breakfast from Southwind. Mayor Janet Doll praised fellow commissioners for reinvesting money wisely while keeping the mill levy low.
Doll also tackled the issue that always seems to come up housing. With 143 units constructed over the last year, more is expected to help fill this great need.
Mayor Doll not only looked at past success, but also outlined commissioners’ priorities for the year ahead.
Doll feels collectively Garden City can reach these goals aimed at continuing growth other communities are not experiencing.
