Search For New Police Chief Goes to Warp Speed
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Almost six months ago Garden City Police Chief James Hawkins retired after 19 years in the position. Captain Courtney Prewitt is filling in on an interim basis, but the job remains open. City Manager Matt Allen says that is about to change.
Allen believes the process of finding a new police chief started moving along right after Allison Medina was hired as the city’s new human resources manager.
