Sue Rome Wesley

Sue Rome Wesley, 57 died Monday, November 9, 2015 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City. She was born April 15, 1958 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma the daughter of Robert & Mariam (Rogers) Pedigo.
Sue grew up in Garden City where she attended Garden City schools. She later lived in Porterville, California for several years before moving back to Garden City in the early 1980’s. She has lived in Garden City since. Sue worked as an interior decorator in their family business “Paperettes.” She first married Nick Rome in Garden City. Later, she married Tom Wesley in Wichita, Kansas. Sue enjoyed painting, art, music, animals especially her dog “Belle”, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her three children Charity Showalter of Colorado Springs, Co., Shane Rome of Taylor, N.D. and Kimberly Rome of Montezuma, Ks.; her mother Mariam Pedigo of Rogers, Ar.; two sisters Robin Cameron of Rogers, Ar. and Jennifer Godwin of Garden City, Ks.; eight grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. Sue is preceded in death by her first husband Nick Rome; her second husband Tom Wesley; her father; and a sister Suzanne Gail Pedigo.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City with Rev. Brian Faust officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family requests memorials given to the Finney County Humane Society in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
