Wheatland Electric Warns Customers About Scam

Scott City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Wheatland Electric has seen this type of scam on and off for several years, but recently there has been a spike in the number of calls their customers have received.

Shawn Powelson is Wheatland’s Manager of Member Service and Corporate Communications says typically the caller wants payment in a money pack or asks for a credit card. If you feel the phone call is not legitimate Wheatland will not be offended by a customer calling their local office to verify.
