R Ward Clinton, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on July 20, 1932 in Shallow Water, Kansas. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, he was a retired Plant Operator from KN Energy. Ward was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. His favorite place to go was the “Office”.

He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and Scott County VIP Center both of Scott City, Kansas and was a life member of the VFW.

On December 26, 1951 he married Charoltte Ann Evers in Scott City, Kansas. She passed away on February 14, 1994 in Scott City, Kansas.

Survivors include his Three Sons – Ward A. & Josie Clinton of Scott City, Kansas, Darryl & Virginia Clinton of Scott City, Kansas, David Clinton of Scott City, Kansas, Three Daughters – Cheryl Clinton of Scott City, Kansas, Karen Anderson of Slaton, Texas, Judith & Rodney Wright of Scott City, Kansas, One Sister – Norma Lee Moore of Burlington, Colorado, Thirteen Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Seven Sisters, One Bother and One Son – Shawn M. Clinton.


Funeral Services will be held at the Church of the Nazarene in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 with Pastor Don Williams presiding.

Memorials in Lieu of Flowers may be given to the Church of the Nazarene or VFW % Price & Sons Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas
