Elsie “Ruth” (Barrett) Newport

Elsie “Ruth” (Barrett) Newport, 100, died Monday, March 14, 2016 at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal.
She was born on December 18, 1915 to Edmond Elsworth Barrett and Charlotte Ann (Priddle) on the family farm in Ford County. 

She married Ralph Newport in Garden City October 30, 1938, He preceded her in death on November 9, 1989.
She was a Homemaker.

She is survived by her Son Larry Newport of Liberal

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 2 -Brothers, 3- Sisters, and 1-Daughter Linda Schmaus

Funeral Service:  11:00 am Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Central Christian Church, with Pastor Chuck Scroggs officiating.

Visitation: 11am to 8pm on Friday at Miller Mortuary

Burial: will take place at Liberal Cemetery

Memorial Contributions: May be given to the Central Christian Church, in care of Miller Mortuary-PO Box 826-Liberal, KS 67905
