GCPD Beginning New Outreach Efforts to Seniors, Youth

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) As part of an additional outreach initiative in the community and after a recent presentation at the senior center, new Garden City Police Chief Michael Utz is looking at ways of getting this group involved. Eventually this could come in several different ways.

This would be part of a volunteer program.  Utz is looking to finalize details before moving forward.  The outreach campaign also extends to younger people too. Here is what Chief Utz plans to do.

Utz says the program is designed for youth ages 14-to-21 who have an interest in law enforcement.
