Shirley attended Garden City schools and was a lifelong resident of Garden City. She was a bus driver and cook for USD 457. During the time that Sunflower Electric was being built she volunteered to feed some of the workers. She also managed the Conoco Truck Stop Café and sold Avon. She and her husband owned and operated the Ball Trailer Park for many years. She enjoyed camping, gardening, country and gospel music, genealogy and was very artistic. Her family was her main love. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Son- Marvin Ray Ball, Sister- Valdah F. Frank, Brother- Harry Gerald Cranston, Jr. & 2 Brother-In-Laws- Albert Frank & Edward Unruh.
