Kenneth W. Fry, 69, died April 4, 2016 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita . He was born on November 9, 1946 at Scott City, the son of Charles Noah and Nancy Lee (Sharp) Fry.

Kenneth played football and wrestled through high school and graduated from Kinsley High School, Kinsley, in 1964. He continued his education through Dodge City Vo-Tech School. While attending trade school he met Lynnette Dirks and they married on May 20, 1967. Kenneth started his farming career working in Quinter, on a dairy farm. Kenneth continued his farming career working for over 40 years at Herrmann Land and Cattle Co. as a farm foreman. He loved farming and this job gave him the opportunity to do that for the majority of his life. Kenneth was also involved in the Ford City government as a council member, the Farm Bureau Board, and served his church for many years. Kenneth and Lynnette have three children, Hoyt Fry and wife Linda Fry of Ford, Clint Fry of Topeka, and Alicia (Fry) Rumold and husband Robert of Osage City. From their three children, Kenneth and Lynnette were blessed with seven grandchildren, Blaine Fry, Alex Fry, Candace Fry, Erika Fry, Bowen Rumold, Roenan Rumold, and Sevrin Rumold. Kenneth has one sister Donna Fry of Grand Junction, Colorado and multiple nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nancy Lee Sharp Fry and by his brother Charles R. Fry of Hutchinson.
He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Dodge City, and the National Rifle Association.
Funeral service will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church , Dodge City, on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Christopher Conner presiding. Burial will follow at Christ The King Lutheran Cemetery in Ford County. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City, on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
