Patrick Dean Phoenix

Patrick Dean Phoenix, 39, died April 22, 2016 at the Satanta District Hospital. He was born on December 1, 1976 in Dodge City, the son of Bill Gene and Ruth Adele (Messerly) Phoenix.

Pat was a lifetime resident of Sublette. He graduated from Sublette High School in 1995. On November 27, 2004, he married Valerie Pike at the United Methodist Church in Sublette. Pat worked in the service department at the Sublette COOP and for the Haskell County Road Department. He enjoyed many things including fishing and music but his greatest joy was his family. Inde, Salym, and Brosnan were his pride and joy.

Pat is survived by his wife Valerie Phoenix of Sublette; three daughters, Independence Rae, Salym Halle, and Brosnan Adellyn all of Sublette; his mother, Ruth Phoenix of Sublette; two brothers, Robert Phoenix of Garden City and Shannon Phoenix of Austin, Texas; one sister, Tonya Thayer of Olathe; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Bill; sister, Denice Phoenix; and brother Todd Phoenix.

Funeral service will be held at Sublette Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Eddie Pennington presiding. Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Sublette on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to the family in care of the funeral home.
