Former Broncbuster All-American leaves Baylor

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-When Jeremy Faulk was the consensus National Defensive Player of the Year last season, it didn’t surprise his coach.

“Jeremy is one of the most gifted defensive players in the country at any level,” Jeff Sims said during the season.

Faulk rode his accolades, which included being named an NJCAA first-team All American, all the way to Waco, TX and a national letter-of-intent with the new crown jewel of college football, the Baylor Bears.

But after Head Coach Art Briles was fired for a scandal that varied from multiple reports of violence against women by multiple football players, Faulk and several other players decided to leave the program.

Faulk was released from his scholarship and withdrew from the university.
