Ordean Archer, 80, died Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Comanche County Hospital, Coldwater, Kansas.
She was born February 16, 1936 at Quanah, Texas, the daughter of Robert Ezekiel and Mandy (Morris) Bailey. A Protection resident since February 2010, moving from Lubbock, she was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, cooking and singing.
On June 17, 1962 she married RC Archer at Colman, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1995.
Survivors include: 3 sons, Joe Nava and Ricky Nava both of Sweetwater and David Archer, Abilene, Texas; 2 daughters, Linda Bewley and husband Robert, Dodge City, Kansas and Peggy Archer and husband Terry Upshaw, Arcadia, Florida; 2 brothers, Archie James Bailey, Roby, Texas and William D. Bailey, Snyder, Texas; 2 sisters, Rachel Mae Rolley and husband Eddie Joe, Sweetwater and Cynthia Marie Jones and husband Gary, Lubbock, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Micah Parsons and husband John, Greg Bredemeyer, Staci Nelson and husband Chris, Ryan Bewley and wife Emily, Megan Upshaw and Chance Upshaw; and 5 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Betty Bredemeyer, 2 brothers, Orville Lee Bailey and Marvine Doyle Bailey, 2 sisters, Francis Shar Louise Funderbird and Oleta Fay Young and a grandson, Mason Upshaw.
Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Monday, June 6, 2016 at Cate-Spencer and Trent Funeral Home, Sweetwater, with Rev. Keith Clower officiating. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
