Teen Bicyclist Injured in Accident Monday Night

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A 14 year old bicyclist was involved in an accident Monday night around 9:30 while trying to cross traffic at the corner of Campus Drive and Kansas Avenue in Garden City.  Officers have identified the victim as Tomas Lacost-Nevarez. The boy was medflighted to Via Christi in Wichita with life threatening injuries. 

A friend of Lacost-Nevarez stopped at the intersection.  Police say the victim did not stop and tried to cross when both directions of traffic had a green light.
