Tempel Makes Most of Last Week’s Trip to GOP Convention
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Watching the Republican National Convention last week there was a lot of drama, but what was it like to actually be there. Tanner Tempel, a senior Ag Business Major at Fort Hays State and Garden City resident was an alternative delegate at the RNC in Cleveland. His journey began with one of the part meetings he attended in Salina.
Tempel is convinced Donald Trump can make the changes many are looking for.
Even though he was inspired by Trump’s message, it was Trump’s kids that gave Tempel an insight into what drives the presidential candidate.
No matter your opinion of the candidates their message is resonating with young people.
Young adults typically have the lowest voter turnout of any age group. The hope is that will change this year.
