Luetta Mae Robben, 84, died Friday, August 5, 2016 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. 

She was born November 7, 1931 at Grinnell, Kansas the daughter of Henry and Louise (Baalman) Huelsmann. She graduated Sacred Heart Academy in Wichita. She and her husband farmed and ranched near Studley, Kansas for over 15 years prior to moving to Spearville, Kansas and later moved to Dodge City in 1976. She later worked at Safeway/Homeland in Dodge City until her retirement. She was a homemaker for much of her life and cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren, as they were the center of her life. 

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City. 

On August 26, 1952 she married Phil Robben at Angelus, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1979. 

Survivors include: 4 sons, Steve and wife Nancy, Greeley, Colorado, Mark and wife Connie, Elizabeth, Colorado, Hugh and wife Tami, Dodge City and Chad and wife Dollie, Edmond, Oklahoma; 5 daughters, LeaAnn Robben, Dodge City, Kathy Shields and husband Mike, Manhattan, Kansas, Colleen Herrmann and husband Danny, Dodge City, Janae Jones, Dodge City and Ranae Stites and husband Troy, McPherson, Kansas; 4 brothers, Bernie Huelsmann and wife Bonnie, Oakley, Kansas, Edwin Huelsmann, Oakley, Wishy Huelsmann and wife Irene, Augusta, Kansas and Charles Huelsmann, Oakley; 2 sisters, Donna Marie Smith and husband Matt, Wichita and Donna Lee McGuire, Oakley; 31 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sue Anders, 2 brothers, John and Frank Huelsmann and 3 sisters, Mildred Thummel, Floralee Rumback and Loyola “Sis” Moose. 

Vigil service will be 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Wednesday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City, with Fr. Wesley Schawe presiding. Burial will follow in Greencrest Memorial Gardens, Dodge City. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
