GCHS volleyball wins 15th straight; sweeps Ulysses and Dodge City

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-It was a special night in Garden City on Thursday.

Not only because it was the annual breast-cancer awareness, pink-out matches, but because the Buffalo seniors were playing in their final home games.

And they didn’t disappoint.

Kyra Bellows combined for 18 kills in two matches, Lexi Hogan added six and a couple of blocks, and the Buffaloes swept Dodge City 25-18 and 25-16 and Ulysses 25-16 and 25-15.

“It was a really emotional night,” Hogan said after the match. “It was special playing in front of the home crowd for the final time this season.”

The Buffaloes won their 14th and 15th matches in a row, while improving their overall record to an impressive 28-4.
