Some Faculty Upset with Direction at DCCC Under Current Leadership

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) An overflow crowd attended Monday night’s Dodge City Community College Trustee’s meeting.  There Sue Hammond full-time professor and Faculty Coalition President summarized concerns brought on by recent actions from President Doctor Harold Nolte and Vice President Adam John leading to a no confidence vote by the faculty.

As part of the grievances listed are intimidation of outspoken faculty and students along with reporting faulty numbers to close classes prompting more online instruction.

Criminal Justice major Jasial Anaya was shocked about the recent resignation of College VP Danny Gillum.

Ashley Meek also voiced support for Gillum and the void he leaves behind in having oversight of the nursing program.

The board could take action at the next meeting December 12th.  We will have reaction from DCCC President Doctor Harold Nolte on Thursday.
