Elmer Lee Gerstberger

Elmer Lee Gerstberger, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. Elmer was born on October 27, 1922 in rural Wichita County, Kansas, the son of Joseph F. & Hattie (Schwindt) Gerstberger, Sr. Following graduation from Wichita County High School in 1942, he continued his career as a lifelong Farmer/Rancher in Wichita County. Elmer enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, playing cards and woodworking and was an avid supporter of Wichita County School athletics.

Elmer was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Leoti, Kansas.

On February 3, 1948 he married Isabel Katherine Herman in Garden City, Kansas. Isabel passed away on April 21, 2001 in Leoti, Kansas.

Angela & Robbie Delzeit- Hays, Kansas

Marcus & Aimee Kreuger- Evans, Colorado

John Fletcher- Lakewood, Colorado

His parents, wife, and a brother, William Gerstberger, precede him in death.

Vigil services will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, December 9, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Leoti, Kansas.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, December 10, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Benjamin Martin officiating.

Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.

Friends may call from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday and from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to St. Anthony Catholic Church Building Fund or Wichita County Health Center in care of the funeral home.
