Elsie Lucile Yohn, 96, died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the Pratt Rehabilitation & Resident Center, Pratt. 

She was born June 17, 1920 in Kiowa County, Kansas, one of twelve children born to William A. and Elsie (Smith) Rose. A lifetime area resident, she was a LPN at the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg for 26 years until retiring. 

On November 4, 1939 she married John E. Yohn at Dodge City. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2014. 

Survivors include: 2 sons, Gene Yohn, Greensburg and James Yohn, Lucidale, Mississippi; 3 sisters, Wanita England, Kismet, Kansas, Thelma Bush, Wichita and Dorine Aultman, Wetumka, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren, Michael Yohn, Rebecca Kilduff, Luke Yohn, and Andrew Yohn, 4 great grandchildren Brandi Marciniak, Brandon Yohn, Bryce Yohn, and Joseph “JJ” Kilduff and 3 great great grandchildren as well as many nephews and nieces. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 grandsons, David Yohn and Patrick Yohn and brothers and sisters, Alfred Rose, William Leonard Rose, Leona May Yohn, Ellen Cleo Kendall, Sofina Beulah Harris, Calvin Alvin Rose, Cecil Merle Rose and Sidney Irvin Rose. 

Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
