John grew up in Hutchinson and moved to Garden City in 1966. In his earlier years he worked in Oilfields, moved houses and did concrete work. In Garden City he was a partner in M & R Brand Scales and later was the owner-operator of the Corral Club and Cottonwood N Sand Club. He also had R & D Vending. John was a past member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed racing Stock Cars in his earlier years and deer and elk hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Son Harry Riead, 1 Daughter- Rosie Riead, 3 Brothers & 3Sisters.
