US Attorney Beall: Couple Pleads Guilty to Money Laundering
Meade, KS (westernkansasnews.com) US Attorney Tom Beall says a married couple from Meade has pleaded guilty to one count of money laundering for a Mexican cartel through a bank in Southwest Kansas.
70 year old George Enns and 68 year old Agatha Enns entered into a plea agreement with prosecutors that will spare them jail time. A total of 6.6 million dollars was deposit into a joint account at Plains State Bank in Plains for illegal activity.
It has been recommend that the couple receive three years probation and a fine. Sentencing is February 27th.
