Barbara Aliene Gordon

Barbara Aliene Gordon, 76, died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at her home in Dodge City. 

She was born April 26, 1940 at South Fork, Missouri, the daughter of Tess and Ruth (Nicks) Hunt. An area resident since1956, moving from Moody, Missouri. She loved watching KU basketball, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, spending time with her grandchildren and going to Branson and West Plains, Missouri to spend time with her family and shop. 

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cimarron. 

In May of 1957 she married Wayne Gordon at Hoisington, Kansas. 

Survivors include: Wayne Gordon, Fairland, Oklahoma; her daughter, Vickie Wyman and husband Randy, Dodge City; her son, David Gordon and wife Betty, Dodge City; 3 brothers, Junior Hunt and wife Vonda and Norman Hunt and wife Beverly all of West Plains, Missouri and Ronnie Hunt, Kissee Mills, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Jaime Schaffer and husband Brad, Jennifer Peters and husband Matt, Jordan Wyman and wife Megan, Mollea Wainscott and Ben Gordon and wife Nikki; 13 great grandchildren; and special friend and caregiver, Margie Sloan. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Larry Gordon and a brother, Roger Hunt. 

Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Monday, January 30, 2017 at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City, with Rev. Richard Deimund officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 6:00 pm Sunday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. 

The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church or the Ford County Humane Society both in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
