Linda Geffs, 62, died Thursday, January 5,2017 at Sky Ridge Medical Center, Lone Tree, Colorado. 

She was born December 8, 1954 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Gerald Toy and Edith Pauline (Burge) Johnson. She and her family moved to Dodge City when she was a teenager and for 18 years worked as a Para at the Dodge City Middle School until retiring during the 2014-2015 school year due to health reasons. 

She loved the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks and enjoyed watching sports as well as listening to George Strait and Vince Gill. 

On June 18, 1990 she married Roger Geffs at Dodge City. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2006. 

Survivors include: 3 daughters, April Collado and husband Jose Antonio Maldondo-Collado, Knox, Indiana, Tanya Geffs, Dodge City and Victoria Geffs, Dodge City; her companion of 8 years, James Hernandez, Dodge City; 2 step-sons, Daniel Geffs, Dodge City and Jessie Geffs, Kansas; 2 sisters, Paula Holmes, Norman, Oklahoma and Brenda Johnson, Dodge City; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandson and several step-grandchildren. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 bothers, Gerald Paul Johnson, Jackie Lee Johnson and Ray Charles Johnson and 2 sisters, Carmen Lowe and Dale Ann King. 

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel with Richard Crockett officiating. Burial will follow in Greencrest Memorial Gardens, Dodge City. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Friday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
