GCHS girls soccer drops second straight

Goddard, KS-The Garden City girls soccer team dropped their second straight match at the Goddard Tournament, losing to Arkansas City 1-0 in the consolation semifinals. 

The Bulldogs scored their lone goal on a penalty kick by Jaycee Burley in the 28th minute. 

“Our problem continues to be scoring,” assistant coach Josue Negron said. “But we knew that would be an issue early on because we graduated our two leading scorers from last year.”

Garden City lost despite out shooting Arkansas City 17-4.
