Detached Trailer Results in Multi Vehicle Accident Killing Three

Fowler, KS (westernkansasnews.com) State troopers report three people died in a four vehicle wreck Friday night around 7 as a trailer attached to an Ford F-150 pickup became unhinged going off the exit at Highway 54, one mile west of Fowler.

The first accident hit a woman from Liberal driving a KIA. She was uninjured in the wreck as her car came to rest in a ditch.

The drivers of two semis died as one of them had their brakes lock up on impact with the detached trailer. 43 year old Zachery Duncan along with his passenger 35 year old Manda Price both of Watertown, South Dakota were killed.

Duncan’s semi collided with another semi going eastbound driven by 56 year old John Kemp Junior of Brandon, Mississippi. Kemp died as his semi came to rest on the bridge and then caught on fire.
