Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Classes were held Friday at Garden City High School under an increased law enforcement presence after a threat was discovered on social media. The threat was made toward other students at the high school.
Garden City Police Captain Randy Ralston released a statement this afternoon with an update:
“After further investigation and with the cooperation of the USD 457 School District, the Garden City Police Department has identified the person who allegedly made last week’s threat against students of the Garden City High School. We believe there was never an actual plan to carry out the threat and students were not in danger from this incident. The investigation continues, and additional information will be released as it becomes available”
School went on as scheduled on Monday with a heightened security presence.
