Road Work Begins in Area Counties

(westernkansasnews.com) The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin highway resurfacing of US-50 beginning at the Finney/Gray County Line and continuing East to the Cimarron city limits.  Resurfacing is scheduled to begin Monday June 12, 2017.

US-50 will be reduced to one lane guided by a pilot car during working hours with an approximate delay of 15 minutes during the project.  The project is expected to be completed by late October weather permitting.

Also KDOT will be repairing guard rail and posts on K-34 and U.S. 160 in Clark County.  New posts and guard rail end terminals and sections at various locations along these routes are being replaced.  Drivers should remain alert for advanced signing and be prepared to slow and/or stop on short notice as workers, materials and equipment will be very near the traffic.   Work is scheduled to begin the week of June 12, 2017 and continue through the end of July 2017, weather permitting.
