Ripple hired as new Dodge City Athletic Director

Dodge City, KS-After a few years away from Southwest Kansas, Jake Ripple is back in a more comfortable surrounding.

Ripple, who spent time as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Garden City Community College, and as an athletic administrator after that, was hired as the new athletic director at Dodge City Community College.

“It’s a really exciting time to be back,” said Ripple, who grew up in Dodge City. “There are a lot of exciting things going on.”

Ripple spent the last couple of years as the athletic director at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE. During his time there, Ripple helped doubled the size of the department from four to eight sports. Before that, he spent time as the athletic-academic coordinator at Blinn and was the assistant athletic director at Garden City Community College as well as the sports information director.

“I believe all of my past experiences will help me in this job,” Ripple said. “I’ve gained a ton of it along the way.”
